Every congregation has members who have become inactive for one reason or another. What are some new ways or strategies that your congregation could use to reach out to your inactive members and bring them back into the body of Christ? How do you communicate with your inactive members to let them know that your congregation notices their absence and desires them to return to active participation in the life of the congregation?
Rev. Todd Kollbaum, Director of LCMS Rural and Small Town Mission, will be leading a workshop titled, "Engaging the Wandering." By participating in this event you will receive: Bible study, practical resources for ministry to inactive members, communication skills for interaction with inactive members, and an opportunity to share ideas with other congregations.
Cost to attend the event is: $25/individual or $100/congregation bringing 4 or more participants.
You can register by completing the registration form and mailing it to the LCMS RSTM Office or by calling 888-463-5127 or by e-mailing email@example.com. Registration deadline in February 2, 2018.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!”
Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up
