MOST CERTAINLY IMPORTANT
Confirmation doesn't exist to assign you memory work while the world makes fun of you for believeing weird stuff. Confirmation isn't a hurdle to jump through. The faith we learn to confess is a shield against the devil, an answer to the world, and a comfort to troubled consciences. We're not just learning what our faith is, but why it's important. The world asks tough questions. You're learning the answers. We'll look at the Small Catechism and how it speaks to the world's accusations against Christians, the fights we have with each other, and our own struggles with sin, guilt, and shame.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
