All Workers Conference

Located Best Western Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center, 2111 North LaCrosse Street, Rapid City, SD Monday - October, 05, 2020 to Wednesday - October, 07, 2020 from 12:00pm to 12:00pm

The 2020 South Dakota District All Workers Conference is open to all professional church workers, ordained or commissioned, called or contracted, retired or actively serving in the South Dakota District.  This conference will serve as the the District's pastors and educators conference in 2020.

The theme of the 2020 All Workers Conference is "Making Disciples for LIfe."  Watching young people grow up in the Christian faith brings much joy to parents, pastors, DCE's, teachers, and entire congregations.  Yet, healthy ministry to young people can be a struggle.  Using the findings of the 2017 Millennials and The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod research, insights from Gen Z and the 7 Practices of Healthy Youth Ministry, we explore where we are in developing young disciples, where we want to go and how we can get there.  Our hope is that these presentations will help give you information to effectively plan for next steps in making youth and young adult disciples for life.  Conference presenters will be the Rev. Dr. Mark Kiessling, Director, LCMS Youth Ministry and DCE Julianna Shults, Program Manager, LCMS Youth Ministry.

John 14:6

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

Psalm 28:7-8

Go on up to a high mountain,  O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah,  “Behold your God!”

Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted.
